Carol Schultz
Carol Schultz is a pioneer in the Talent Management and Career Strategy Industry.
Carol has devised, managed and executed talent strategies for a myriad of companies ranging from early stage pre-IPOs to large publicly traded companies and career strategy for countless individuals.
Over the past 20 years, she honed her industry expertise and formed an intrinsic understanding of successful recruiting processes. For so long, many believed the industry was built around a strong resume. Carol believed the industry should be built around strong candidates and their “fit” to a company’s strategy. Once armed with this knowledge Carol designed, developed and launched Vertical Elevation, a fresh approach to an industry that truly needs a paradigm shift from the one-size-fits-all mentality that permeates current career and recruitment practices. This shift was a movement away from the resume, away from the mass mailing of resumes, away from posting on job boards and websites to a recruiting and hiring process that incorporates the executive management team’s core values and permeates every aspect of hiring process.
Carol prides herself on coaching individuals seeking to elevate their career and teaching corporations the best methods to attract and retain the best and brightest.
A St. Louis native, Carol moved to Northern New Jersey following graduate school and settled there for 16 years. She relocated to Colorado in June 2003. When Carol isn’t working she spends her free time skiing, riding her Rocky Mountain Horse, riding her motorcycle, exercising, and many other outdoor activities that living in America’s playground offers. Carol volunteers at, and fosters for, the Denver Dumb Friends League, and is the parent of 2 rescued Australian Shepherds and 3 cats. She holds a BS degree from the University of Montana and a MS degree from the University of Michigan.
